Reading your books, step by step
Your purchase includes three files for each volume. Use whichever suits you best; there is no wrong choice.
- EPUB is best for a Kindle, an iPad or iPhone, a Kobo or a Nook. The text adjusts to your screen, and you can make the letters as large as you like.
- PDF looks exactly like a printed book. It is best on a computer or a larger tablet.
- Large Print PDF is the same book set in bigger type on a larger page, for easier reading on a computer, or for printing at home.
On a Kindle
- On your computer or phone, go to amazon.com/sendtokindle and sign in with your Amazon account.
- Choose the EPUB file and send it. Amazon converts it for you.
- A few minutes later it appears in your Kindle library, on your Kindle and in the Kindle app.
You can also email the EPUB file as an attachment to your Kindle’s own email address, which you will find in your Amazon account under Manage Your Content and Devices, then Preferences, then Personal Document Settings.
On an iPhone or iPad
- Open the download email on your iPhone or iPad and tap the EPUB file.
- Tap the share button (the square with an arrow) and choose Books.
- The book opens in Apple Books and stays in your library.
On a Kobo or Nook
Connect the reader to your computer with its cable, and copy the EPUB file onto it, as you would a photograph.
On a computer
Open the PDF or Large Print PDF. It will open in your usual PDF reader. To print, choose File, then Print, and pick “fit to page”.
